Spirit of Hope 2022

The Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center, a dedicated nonprofit organization, is at the forefront of Holocaust education and the relentless battle against antisemitism. Through a wide range of impactful programs and initiatives, they work tirelessly to ensure that the lessons of the Holocaust are remembered and that antisemitism is confronted and eradicated in all its forms. It was an absolute pleasure to provide photography coverage at their inspiring event, the Spirit of Hope 2022.

Indigo Events, a Toronto-based corporate photography company, recently had the pleasure of photographing the Spirit of Hope 2022 event by Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center’s (FSWC). The event was held at the Enercare Centre in Toronto and was attended by over 1,200 members of the Jewish community and allies.

The Spirit of Hope event is an annual gala that raises funds for the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center’s initiatives, including educational programs and resources to combat antisemitism, racism, and hate in all its forms. This year’s event was particularly special as it honored NBA legend and social activist Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with the first annual Ally Against Antisemitism Award. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the fight against antisemitism and other forms of hate.

Indigo Events was honored to be selected as the official photographer for the Spirit of Hope 2022 event. The team was tasked with capturing every moment of the evening, from the speeches to the award presentation to the lively performances that entertained the attendees.
